Hey yall it's Heather,

For those of you that are planning on going to volleyball we are meeting at the pier @ 3. If you can't meet at 3 but want to come a little later, we will be going to the volleyball nets just left of the pier, so you can either meet us there or call me or Forrest to find us.

Also tonight @ 7 we will be having the Bowl Lickin Party, which is where we get together and make the end of the month birthday cake for Tuesday night Bible study. It is going to be at my house. We are going to order pizza so bring a few dollars for that. It will be a great time for food and fellowship (which is what we like most!) If you need directions give me, Forrest or Evans a call, or comment back here. One of us should be able to help you get there. I look forward to seeing yall there.

As we discussed on Tuesday night, we will be doing the new Beth Moore Bible Study on Daniel during our Tuesday night bible study. The study will be sometime in June. If you would like to have a workbook to participate in the daily bible study activities, please let me know. Otherwise, we will make copies of the listening guide for the video presentation that we will be watching each week. If you have any questions or would like to request a book, please comment here or contact me.

In addition, we have not selected the next book for the Book Club. If you'd like to make any suggestions, let me know.

Taste of Downtown:

It will be at Reynolds Square, which is on Abercorn and Congress. It starts at 5:30 and I was advised to be there as close to then as possible, since it gets good and busy. There will be free parking at the Bryan Street Gargage and, of course, all meters are free. They will have stations set up at each end of the square to take money, again it will be $5/person. Lets try and meet at the end facing Bay St.

I think that is all...if not...ask me...hope a lot of folks can come it will be good food!

Hi everyone...got a some things for you:

* The taste of downtown is next Thursday at Reynolds Square, should be fun. $5/person for who wants to go.

* Per Clydie...The girls are planning a beach trip on June 3rd. Please respond to this or let her know at Bible Study if you would to attend.

* We are planning an outreach to the Ronald MacDonald House...June 16th. We will need to prepare some food to take with us and drop off. I will let you know when we get the times firmed up, but I think it was between 5:00 and 6:00.

* Also please keep Irene in your prayers as she travels to Peru and will be back on June 6th. She has been under the weather as well, so if you could keep that in your prayers as well...thanks. She will certainly be praying for us folks that are going to Russia (in only 2 weeks!!!!)

Guys,

Thanks for keeping Ellen in your prayers today with the prayer chain. She can't really talk about what's going down (it's work related) but she asks that you continue to pray for her, especially tomorrow at 1 p.m.

We know that God will be with her and will give her the words she needs.

Thanks,

january

Peace Child

I know it sounds a little like a bad hippy deal, but it's not. It's a missions book that I know little about but have heard it's great. At any rate, Youth With a Mission (YWAM) is performing a play based on the book...tonight (friday cinco de mayo) at Savannah Christian @ 7pm and it's FREE. Give me a call or I'll see you there. John

i promised to post this week's Scripture, so here it is:

" If we say we have no sin, we are deceiving ourselves and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."

1 John 1:8,9

Know the truth so that you may live the truth.

Make a difference.

As part of our outreach efforts, Debbie has invited our class to help out at Blessingdales in Garden City. And as I type this, I just realized that I left the addy and Debbie's contact number in my car. Such is life, but anyway, if you are free this Saturday (May 6) and the next (May 13), come help sort out clothes for the thrift store, which, by the way, benefits The Living Vine, the Christian maternity home where Debbie works.

For more info or directions, call Debbie at work: 352.9998 (thanks yellow pages!)

Also, for those out of the loop, we have just begun a new study on 1 Timothy. So join us Tuesday's at 7 p.m. for dinner with the Bible study following.

Remember to lift each other in prayer this week as there are a lot of concerns among the group.

See you Sunday hopefully.

* I wanted to thank everyone who went to the Taste of Southside last Thursday...good times. Soooo that leads us to the Taste of Downtown Thursday May 25th at 5:30. It is in Reynolds Square downtown, again $5 per person. If it is good weather it will be pretty cool, hopefully everyone will attend!

* At our prayer meeting, after Sunday School, Clidee had the idea that maybe we should try and organize some events that are gender specific. She was thinking the girls of the group could get together and go to the beach and I was thinking maybe the guys could gather up and go to a Sand Gnats game some time. So if anyone would like to do that, let either she or I know.

* I checked with my Braves lady and she let me know that if we are still looking to take in a game she could help us out. She can hook us up with tickets behind home plate and the first 6 are free. Each one after that is $27/ticket. I figured we would just take the cost of the extras and divide it among everyone equally. I do have to limit it at around 15 though. I told her July may be when we want to go and she is usually good about sticking me under the overhang behind home plate so we don’t fry and if it rains we are covered too. Let me know who wants to go ASAP, as well as what weekend may work, in July it will have to be either the 7th - 9th against the Reds or the 28th - 30th against the Mets. Either way I can see what kind of deal I can get on Hotel rooms at the Westin Peachtree, it is close to the stadium, about a $5 cab ride from it. I was thinking we should surely make a weekend of it, go up Friday come back Sunday…it’ll be fun times.

* Also, her name is Dennette and she is pregnant as well! She and her husband Richard are really great people so, if you can, please pray for her and her new child. She is due to have a boy in July (about the time we may go up there). Thanks!

Let me know,
Evans
