The East Asia Mission Team (aka-China mission team)will be returning to Savannah Monday (Sept. 25) around 10:30 p.m. We'd like to get a group together to welcome them back if possible. I know it's kinda late in the evening, but if you can make it, please come. We'll probably meet at the Savannah airport about 10:10 p.m. or so.

If you're planning on coming please let me or Laurel know so that if family members call us with flight changes we can pass that info to you. Thanks! And hope to see you there!

THANKS!!!

Thanks to all those who went to visit Christy! I think it really encourged her. She said she will try to come to Bible study for one last visit. She's checking out of the hosptial tomorrow.

Also, keep the China team in your prayers. Word on the street is that the group gets back on the 25th, so everyone is invited to welcome them back when they return to the airport. Have no clue what time, but I'll try to find out for yall by the end of the week.

B-day party and hospital visit

Mike's having a birthday! So we're having a party. Everyone is invited to join him 8:30 p.m. this Friday at The Roadhouse Resturant (in Savannah Mall - upstairs) for his birthday celebration. I have no idea how old he is, though. Anyway, if you plan on going, please let Stacey know or leave a comment on this post.


ALSO ...

For those of you that don't know, Christy (from the Living Vine) is very sick and in the hospital. Please keep her in your prayers as she is away from her family and is spending the next week at Candler Hospital recovering from a very serious illness. Laurel and I are planning on visiting her in the hospital - sometime on Sunday afternoon after church. Everyone is welcome to come. We'll meantion the time during Sunday School, this is a great outreach opportunity to cheer up a sister in Christ, so I hope some of you can join us. If you can't, but want to go another time, she's in room 676 at Candler.

AND ...

Remember to lift up the various prayer requests mentioned during Tuesday night Bible study - it's been a rough week for a lot of people so praying for them and letting them know you are praying for them will mean the world to them.

ONE MORE THING ...

The group going to China leaves this Friday (which includes John Ashely, David Martin, hopefully Julie Starling and two others). Keep them, and their laptops (they are having techincal difficulties), in your prayers as well.
