Party At Blessingdales
We are having a get together at our Blessingdales store in Garden City on Monday Night (January 15) at 6:30 P.M. We have been blessed with many donations, and need some help going through them. There have already been a few people that said they would be able to help, but the more the merrier. I'm going to order pizza, and it's going to be lots of fun. If your interested, give me a call 912-484-7108 (Miranda)

Adopt a family...

As some of you may know we have adopted a family for the holidays. It is a single mother with 2 boys...one 4 and one 3yrs old. We are going to collecting money and gifts for the family for Christmas and then presenting them with it all on Dec. 22. I was thinking we could try and get together one night next week...either Wed or Thurs to go shopping, this way we don't overlap and get the same gifts for them. I attached the info on the family as well. Also if you can't make it to shop if you want to bring money to Bible Study Tuesday night we can take it there or at Church Sunday. We could really have an impact for Christ with this family...so please pray about giving.

Single Mom named Syreeta
2 kids: Siyon & Jordan

Siyon is a 4 yr old boy who likes soccer,
computers and things he can build. His sizes are: pants 5/6, shirt medium, shoe 12 1/2.

Jordan is a 3 yr old boy who likes airplanes, trucks and cartoon-backyardians. His sizes are: pants 5T,
shirt small, shoe 10 1/2.

Syreeta is 25 years old. Her sizes are: height
5'5", dress size 12, pants 12, shirt large, shoe 8.

This family also needs groceries and a Christmas tree.

Lottie Moon Offering
We are also raising money for the Lottie Moon Offering that goes to help fund international missions. As a class we have set a goal of $1000 (if we could get to $1500 that would be 5% of the Church's goal of $30,000...which would be pretty cool). As Vern mentioned on Sunday this is sacrificial giving and is to be done, not as a substitute to your regular tithe, but in conjunction with it. PLEASE PRAY about this as it is unbelievably important to spreading the message of Christ throughout the world. We can attain this goal with the blessings of The Almighty. If you feel led to give you can give to the secretary at the church or either Laurel or I will be happy to make sure it gets to them. We would like to keep track of how much the class gives, so if you can just ear-mark it as a gift from 1558 that would rock.

We also need to think of a time we can all get together and go ICE SKATING! It runs through December so let’s try and find a day that might work.

I know I have asked before...to no avail...but please post comments on this, this way we can all be in the loop and know what everyone else is thinking!!!

Only for Him,
Evans

Here are the times for the Nativity Story we were talking abotu going to at Bible Study Tuesday...it is only playing at the Carmike behind the Savannah Mall.

Showtimes: (1:00), (1:30), (3:10), (3:40), (5:20), (5:50), 7:30, 8:00, 9:40, 10:00.

I like the 1:30...gives each service folk a chance to grab some lunch afterwards and still make it.

Post something on the comments spot below and let your voice be heard!!!

Prayer Requests and upcoming concerts...

We really need prayer for a girl who was a former resident at The Living Vine. She was hurt a few days ago and they are unsure if she will be able to walk again. She does not know The Lord and prayerfully this will bring her closer to Him. Also please keep those in your prayers who were close to her, Debbie, Miranda and the whole Living Vine crew...they really need to be lifted up.

Karla's grandfather has taken a turn for the worse as well. Karla has gone down to Florida to be with them, please pray for her, the whole family and especailly her grandmother. Please keep them close to your prayers as it will be a tough time for them all.

I heard today that Rebecca St. James and Brian Littrel will be at Calvary on Dec 15th at 7:00 for a Christmas concert. Hopefully we can all make it, as those if us who went to the Mercy Me/Audio Adrenaline concert were sooooo blessed by their music and testimony.

Take care and don't forget Bible Study will be on MONDAY next week, due to the Thanksgiving Holiday.

Peace yo,
Evans
